The idea of the composition is that she's in a sort of essay, dancing alone, trying to improve herself, praticing.<br />
<br />
Used Zbrush for all the modelling/sculpting/texturing, except for the base meshes and scenario, which were done in 3ds max and a few texturing work in Photoshop as well.<br />
<br />
Rendered in 3ds max/Mental Ray, I had to do a few render passes, so I could add DOF as a post effect in Photoshop and not using MR, which takes forever!<br />
<br />
A few color and level adustments and a little of motion blur in Photoshop.<br />

	<title>Water Chamber</title>

Trying to achieve a certain mood and strangeness, this work started as part of a project for a real sculpture, but at certain point, the work took a different path and I started exploring simple ideas and associations when sculpting him. The relation between the man and the mask happened at some point and then I constructed the whole scene based on this initial association. <br />

The process:<br />

The organic sculpting, painting and posing were done in Zbrush 3.1. Shading, lightning ,composition and non-organic modelling done in 3ds max 2009, rendered with Mental Ray. Background and main model (male, tubes and valves) rendered separately and composed in Photoshop with an alpha mask with DOF info. A few levels and contrast adjusts in Photoshop then.<br />

I´ve used 3ds max for the base mesh, Zbrush for sculpting and painting and Mental Ray with SSS Fast skin and area lights for rendering. Hair rendered in a different pass, to be post composed. Plus some post editing in Photoshop, mostly level and curve´s adjustment. <br />
